My letters of reference were completed January 8, 2008. I applied on January 11. That seems like a lifetime ago.
On January 30, St Thomas moved my application "into review." University of Minnesota is still "processing" my application, which apparently is the wrinkle in time between application and when adcomm bothers throwing me into a pile based on my index score.
I'm pretty confident I will get a $90,000 scholarship at St Thomas. The U will likely throw a few pennies my way, but I'm not getting my hopes up there.
I scoped out places to live near the U this weekend and picked out my favorite. It's a late 1800s house with two very nice sisters, a guy who is reputed to be an excellent dresser, and myself. The house is located 0.5 miles from the law school, but is in the heart of the undergraduate college community (or as I prefer to describe it "two blocks from the Library," a student watering hole.) The house is situated among some sororities and is really quite charming. Now all I need is for the U to let me in so I can sign a lease!
